Four steps from intake to approval.

The entire process is handled online through your secure client portal. No office visits, no phone tag, no hourly billing. Just a clear path forward.

01

Submit a brief lead qualification form

Fill out our short lead qualification form. You will share your name, contact information, the service you need, and a brief description of your situation. It takes about five minutes. There is no payment, no commitment, and no attorney-client relationship is created — this step simply tells us whether we are the right fit for your case.

Your attorney files. You stay informed, every week.

Once all documents are received and reviewed, your attorney prepares and files your case with USCIS. From that point forward, every significant development — every USCIS notice, every processing update, every milestone — is pushed to your portal and summarized in plain English. You will never have to wonder where your case stands.

A quick note on how we communicate

We built StatusLegal to run lean so we can keep fees low. That means our process is intentionally structured around the portal and email, not phone calls or meetings. Here is what to expect.

What we do
  • Weekly status updates pushed to your portal automatically
  • Attorney responses to portal messages within 1 to 2 business days
  • Email notifications for every USCIS action and milestone
  • Document requests sent directly through the portal
What we don't do
  • We do not offer on-demand phone calls with your attorney
  • We do not schedule in-person meetings
  • We do not respond outside of business hours
  • We are not a full-service boutique firm — if that is what you need, we will help you find a better fit
